Vaccinations are a quick, effective and safe way to protect yourself against diseases that can damage your health.

In addition to travel vaccinations, Kemnay Pharmacy can also provide vaccinations for other conditions such as Influenza (Flu), Chicken Pox, Shingles and Meningitus B.

Vaccination Services

Influenza (Flu) Vaccination

We offer Seasonal Flu Vaccination each year from early September – this is available on a private basis at a cost of £20. We offer Quadrivalent egg based vaccine on our private service – childrens nasal flu vaccine is unfortunately unavailable on a private basis.

Additionally, from November each year, we assist the NHS with those who fall into the eligible categories. These vaccines are provided on a no cost basis to the patient, please look out for your invite letter or check nhsinform.scot for further details.

Vaccination Services

Chicken Pox Vaccination

This service is for children 12 months and older who have not had chickenpox in the past. This privately administered vaccination course of Bexsero involves two doses given four to eight weeks apart.

Vaccination Services

Shingles Vaccination

A single dose of the Zostavax vaccine can give good protection against this condition. Shingles manifests as a painful, blistering rash – it usually affects one part of the body and the painful and uncomfortable rash can last for several weeks. Some people are left with long lasting postherpetic neuralgia and can feel quite unwell for a considerable period after the initial rash has healed.

Vaccination Services

Meningitus B Vaccination

A two dose vaccine for adults and children. Meningitus B is the prevalent strain in the UK –it causes an infection around the brain which is often serious and can be fatal. It is most common in babies and under 5 year olds with a second incidence peak in adolescence. The inactivated Bexsero vaccination course prevents meningitis but cannot itself cause the disease.
